Position Summary: A two-year, mentored research fellowship designed to develop the participant into an independent investigator. The role focuses on translational pharmacotherapy, specifically anti-infective safety, efficacy, and the application of pharmacometric methodologies.
Core Responsibilities:
Research Leadership: Lead at least one original research project from hypothesis generation through protocol development, data collection, and final analysis.
Pharmacometric Modeling: Utilize computer simulation and statistical methodologies (e.g., PK/PD modeling) to evaluate anti-infective therapies.
Scholarly Output: Author a minimum of three first- or second-authored manuscripts per year for peer-reviewed publication and present research at national scientific meetings.
Grant Development: Identify funding opportunities and contribute to or lead the preparation of at least one extramural grant submission.
