The Building Mechanic performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems. This position reports to the Lead Stationary Engineer. The hours for this position are Tuesday-Saturday from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

Summary The Stationary Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam engines, air compressors, motors, turbines, steam boilers and chillers to provide utilities such as heat and cooling for buildings and industrial processes.  The Stationary Engineer reports to the Lead Stationary Engineer. The hours for this position are Sunday- Thursday from 3 pm-11:30 pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitors various gauges, gas and draft meters, pressure and temperature indicators, to verify operating conditions of automatically fired boilers, chillers, compressors, motors, condensate systems and related equipment. Reads meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
