Under supervision of the On-Site Administrator of the Monterey County Home Charter School, the Home Independent Study Teacher will serve as an educational facilitator/monitor to parents who have chosen to educate their children at home and who have enrolled them in the Monterey County Home Charter School.  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Appropriate California Teaching Credential  Possess an appropriate California operator’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicle and be insurable  Ability to travel to off-site locations  Ability to interact with and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of staff and the public  Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing 

Under the supervision of the Director of Alternative Programs, develops and implements an instructional program appropriate for students assigned to Community Schools; assists the Director in working with hourly staff and community agencies. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: ● Bachelor of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university ● Appropriate California Credential ● CLAD/BCLAD Credential ● Experience with at-risk youth and/or alternative schooling ● Ability to interact with and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of staff and the public ● Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing
