We are currently searching for top talent to join as a Global Director, Growth Strategy within our Specialties function. This role is based out of our global headquarters in New York.
The Growth Office Global Director holds a critical role within the Craft & Specialties team. He/she is the main responsible for the performance of our ‘Growth Brands’, represented by the most mature ventures in our portfolio and which account for over 90% of the area’s total performance. He/she must possess a strong ability to work through complex industry scenarios, markets in different category maturity stages and diverse operational footprints to deliver against the area’s aggressive growth agenda. The main requirements for the role are proven ability to solve complex strategic issues (isolating success levers, designing global models, working from complex data through actionable insight), excellent command of financial levers (portfolio management, investment strategy, P&L, revenue management, cash flow, cash allocation), and commercial levers (route to market, category management, consumer insights, brand value proposition, health metrics and funnel).
The Global Growth Office Director is responsible for two critical pillars in our organization:
The Growth Fund is a key tool to nurture investment liquidity and faster market responsiveness, in ZX’s Global Office. It operates through a venture portfolio mindset. As the craft and specialties category is still maturing in most markets, the fund secures flexibility for the area to double-down on projects which have not been mapped in our traditional yearly planning process. Deliverables include the assembly of a panel of internal and external advisors, the organization of pitching rounds, providing clear investment recommendations to our senior management, ROI tracking and plan adherence.
GROWTH BRANDS EXPANSION & REPLICABLE MODEL
This work-stream is responsible for identifying KPIs which are predicative of future success for our Growth Brands. It must define the total addressable market for a venture, its ability to solve a consumer problem and capture growth more effectively than competition. This stream must work through and organize our data lake to isolate commercial levers that are proven to accelerate portfolio performance. This pillar must also define staged and replicable commercial models that enable capturing a higher share of the market, more aggressively.
