Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work closely with internal departments to ensure that members are properly billed and that payments are collected on time. You will also review account information, correct discrepancies, and speak to clients to establish better payment terms.

To succeed as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record keeping skills. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills. 

Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute Invoices to Members.
  • Apply Member payments in Intacct.
  • Process deposits using check reader and/or lockbox.
  • Update Member profile changes in Salesforce and/or Intacct.
  • Conduct collection activities on past due accounts.
  • Collaborate with business units and operations teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Abilities and Knowledge

  • Strong math, typing, and computer skill, especially with bookkeeping software.
  • Excellent communication, research, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to build relationships with members and internal departments.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in Accounting
  • Some experience with spreadsheets, automated accounting systems, and CRM systems.
