Counselor for Mental Health Residential Program
Responsible for providing counseling and training to adults with a mental illness living in a group home or supported apartment setting. Partners with each client on caseload to develop an individualized Service Plan that is timely and based on client-identified goals and objectives. Duties also include support to clients, monitoring the self-administration of medication, record keeping, responding to emergencies, communicating with other treatment providers. Program is licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health.
High school diploma and 5 years human services or Bachelors degree in human services or equivalent combination of education and experience. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work required.
Full-time, 35 hours. Schedule may be Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday - Thursday and includes two evening shifts a week as well as one weekend shift a week.
