Job Description

SUMMARY

Serves as the primary liaison between Flores and the client.  Manages the client and participant relationship for assigned number of both Select and Premier groups; the groups managed tend to see higher participation and utilize more of the services provided by Flores. Responsible for complete client satisfaction for services delivered. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a high level of customer service to assigned clients and all participants by creating a positive relationship with both parties.
  • Fields questions and requests from clients and participants and handles them in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates new client implementation and assists in adding additional lines of services to pre-existing groups.
  • Accountable for daily tasks such as claims adjudication, audit procedures and account reconciliation on both an individual and corporate level.
  • Prepares and executes seasonal activities such as re-enrollment and non-discrimination testing.
  • Manages daily participant account data including exception reports, status changes, claims outside of enrollment and other client/participant reporting.
  • Researches technical and legal questions posed by clients using internal resources and outside legal resources retained by the firm.
  • Acquires necessary technical IRS Code and general employee benefit knowledge regarding Flexible Spending Accounts, Cafeteria Plans, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, HSA administration, COBRA and Direct Reimbursement models to address client/participant questions and inquiries.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully and grow into managing significant client relationships, an individual must possess the following traits and characteristics: detail orientation, strong organizational and prioritizing skills, ability to be flexible and multi-task, ability to use their independent judgment and expertise to manage their groups, strong interpersonal skills and internal motivation. Qualified candidates possess above average analytical and problem solving skills. This skill set must be inherent in an individual that understands the value of providing a high level of customer service.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Previous experience in benefits management, customer service or accounting related field is preferred but is not required. A qualified candidate understands that our business objective is to provide superior customer service. Growth and experience will determine level of responsibilities and duties assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

 

TRAVEL
This position requires up to 5% travel. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area may be expected.
