Performs standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic procedures on all age patients. Will be cross-trained to perform evoked potentials, long term video monitoring , and intraoperative monitoring, as well as 24hr Ambulatory EEG and Trans Cranial Doppler (TCD's) studies and must demonstrate proficiency in each. Communicates with physicians and other personnel appropriately. In the absence of the END manager the technologist III may support the lab in a charge role.
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years - Neurodiagnostic field
NEURODIAGNOSTIC TECH-ABRET - REND
Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)
ABRET registry in one Neurodiagnostic modality (R. EEG T., R. EP T., R. EDT., CNIM, CLTM) (Lawson Code REND)
In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements
Completion of accredited training program in Electroneurodiagnostics, Polysomnography, Nerve Conductions, or Intraoperative Monitoring AND ABRET Registered AND 6 months experience will substitute for 3 years of experience in the neurodiagnostic field.
Other Required Experience
Medical terminology and anatomy. Electroneurodiagnostics studies preferred - Preferred
