Position Description:
Assemi Group is seeking a Sr. Accountant to aid in the financial management of the companies and their investments.  The responsibilities include monthly closings, quarterly and year-end financial reports and assistance in combined financial reporting for multiple entities.  Duties also include research and writing of technical accounting memos as needed.

Essential Functions/Accountabilities:
Track the company's financial status and performance and identify areas for potential improvement
Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
Review financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
Establish and maintain financial memos, policies and procedures for the company

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; Certified Public Accounting license (CPA) preferred, 2-4 years of experience in a finance role; knowledge in GAAP with the ability to research treatment of complex transactions; superior mathematical skills; advance Excel skills; leadership abilities; solid communication skills, both written and verbal; superior attention to detail; organizational skills; planning skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; computer skills; multi-tasking abilities; integrity, honesty.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Work Environment:
This position operates mainly within professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee. The noise level in the work is low.  The elements within the office are controlled by centralized heat and air conditioning.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time at will position, and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as department needs demand.

Travel is limited and primarily local during the business day.
