Job Description

Objectives:

The Benefit Company is seeking a skilled .NET Developer (preferably C#) with a
background in building scalable applications and web services. The primary
responsibility this position is for building, documenting and maintaining back-end and
web services for our Benefits Management Platform. The person will work with a team
of experienced Developers and business resources to build/maintain high performance
and scalable solutions for this platform.

Major Responsibilities:

- Work closely with other team members to develop enterprise-level benefits
management products as defined by customer and market requirements

- Perform all functions across the entire development cycle (detailed analysis, design,
code, test, product launch, and production support) with the primary focus on analysis,
design and development

- Work with internal resources to clarify requirements and ensure that project design meets
customer’s business and technical requirements

- Research issues discovered by QA or customers and develop workable solutions to the
issues

Skills:

- Excellent listening, written, analytical, and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical, problem solving and planning ability. Detailed oriented

- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

- Strong foundation in:

      - HTML
      - JavaScript
      - Overall Web Development
      - Intermediate ASP.Net
      - Intermediate C# programming skills
      - Solid background in developing complex SQL statements within MS SQL Server

Experience with the following is a plus:

      - Employee Benefits or other insurance applications
      - ASP.Net Web API
      - ORM tools (Entity Framework or Dapper is an added plus)
      - jQuery family of libraries
      - AngularJS or other SPA framework

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

- Normal office environment
- The ability to lift and transport objects such as computers, printers, etc. is required

Education and Experience:

- Degree or Certificate from an accredited college in an Information Technology related field or 1 – 5 years equivalent work experience.
