Description:

The Demand Planner supports the Climate Distribution business.  This role requires an experienced inventory specialist to support with all planning and demand activities.  The roles requires interfacing with multiple functions such as customer service, manufacturing plants, marketing and engineering to ensure inventory is in place to meet customer demand.  Responsibilities include:

 

  • Schedules assigned motor family and ensures that production schedules are being created to meet customer requirements while collaborating with material requirement planning for manufacturing and driving RK and PK metrics.
  • Interfaces with Marketing, Sales, Production and Engineering Managers to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Ensures that multiple work orders are scheduled for production.
  • Determines finished goods inventory levels.
  • Identifies rework/repurpose or other opportunities.
  • Phase In/Phase Out for all New Product Developments (NPDs) and Discontinued product.
  • Coordinate tasks with Customer Service, Manufacturing Plants, Marketing and Engineering to ensure inventory is in place to meet customer demand.
  • Manages obsolescence and QA hold exposure.
  • Influences respective line rates as part of the Supply Plan during the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Manages DvSum rules to ensure item parameters are correct.
  • Runs Business Intelligence Reports as needed to support business needs

Qualifications:  

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 5+ years. Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years.
