Senior Product Portfolio Manager

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Senior Product Portfolio Manager is to manage, optimize, and grow ChemPoint product lines in accordance with supplier investment and objectives and ChemPoint’s strategic aims. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing specific procurement and sales strategy associated with the product, or group of products to achieve internal goals while aligning with the needs of supplier partners. This position will lead the Product Management Team (PMT) to align all with all ChemPoint business functions to deliver business results. This role will also contribute to internal process development and continuous improvement, by serving as the business lead on innovation projects and as the primary liaison representing the PM team in cross functional/team discussions. This individual will contribute to ongoing training of the PMT and onboarding of new hires.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Accountable for P&L of selected products within specific geography across all customer segments
  • Interfaces with suppliers to develop longer term strategic relationships
  • Leads the information collection and direction setting on market fundamentals, pricing tactics, supply demand, etc. on a regular basis and gain alignment with commercial organization
  • Provides leadership guidance to ensure quality products and services to maximize customer satisfaction and risk management
  • Works closely with Industry Management, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance on matters of mutual concern and to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including the cost support process.
  • Participates in Innovation Projects as Business Lead, provides support to Product Management team through process training. Serves as a liaison for PM team in cross functional discussions.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from fully accredited four-year institution 
  • 7+ years of experience of field or product management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Broad knowledge of chemical distribution business and functions
  • Ability to determine and establish appropriate collaboration and communication points (people, teams, organizational relationships) to achieve supply chain and service advantages and targeted solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills needed to develop strategic data driven decisions
  • Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • High level of decision-making ability balancing customers needs and company objectives
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workload
  • Demonstrated financial management skills
  • Effectively conveys ideas and concepts via multiple modes of communication, including excellent telephone skills
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills

This is a hybrid role in Bellevue, WA; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $129,040 - $161,300 annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
