This is a full-time, Non-Represented role. The salary grade for this posting is 4027. The salary range is $78,898 to $100,247. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.
Job Summary:
Oversees the School District of Philadelphia’s environmental management program. Involves environmental regulatory compliance specific to local, state and federal laws/rules pertaining to air pollution, water pollution, toxic substances and hazardous waste. Manages specific capital environmental projects, and in doing so, manages the work of multiple professional services consulting firms, abatement contracting firms and all associated technical staff engaged in asbestos abatement, lead paint, indoor air quality, geotechnical investigations and hazardous materials management and emergency response activities. Ensures contracted asbestos work projects remain on schedule and that work projects are completed in accordance with all applicable regulations. Apprises school administrators and district officials of planned environmental projects. Develops, manages and conducts mandated programs and routine awareness training seminars for asbestos, lead and universal waste.
