Minimum Qualifications:

•Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR
•One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to: Assistant Insurance Fund Services Representative, Administrative Assistant 1, Office Assistant 3

Duties Description:

Duties include but are not limited to:
•Entering all receipts, on receiving logs or in computer upon receipt.
•Delivering supplies to various departments.
•Ensuring internal delivery verification sheet is signed and dated by staff.
•Receives deliveries shipped via courier service; as well as single, bulk, and multiple item orders from vendors.
•Transporting deliveries to supply room and mail room.
•Verifies the contents of deliveries receive, and contact purchasing department if there are any errors, or damaged items.
•Sorts and distributes flats (3rd and 4th class mail).
•Aids during staff shortages.
•Provides assistance to the Director of Property Services.
•Picks up Certified Mail from the post office as per scheduled rotation.

Additional Comments:

The salary range for this position includes location pay.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
