Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent & Culture, the Technical Recruiter will be responsible for researching and identifying top talent, cultivating relationships, and representing Optoro to potential candidates during a high growth phase for the company. The position will also be responsible for managing processes to ensure we maintain our unique company culture in the midst of rapid growth.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting efforts for junior and mid-level roles in the corporate office including manage the full life cycle recruitment process – source, sell, qualify, interview, close and welcome
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, respond to candidate questions, provide updates on next steps in the process, and promote Optoro as an employer of choice
  • Maintain the hiring processes, working directly with the Talent & Culture team to implement changes when necessary to ensure efficiency
  • Develop a critical eye for appropriate candidates by fully understanding the unique needs of the hiring managers and conducting comprehensive interviews that test for the right attributes
  • Maintain the integrity of the applicant tracking database and serve as the expert for team; work closely with Manager of Talent & Culture in creating metric driven recruiting competency
  • Assist with on-campus recruiting efforts including events, career fairs, networking events, and meet-ups
  • Attend networking events to promote the Optoro brand and identify new candidate pools
  • Assist with additional Talent & Culture team projects as needed, such as company-wide interview training and employee engagement initiatives
  • Consult with Hiring Managers to maintain best hiring practices, strategies, and initiatives


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience; technical recruiting & start-up experience strongly preferred
  • ATS experience required
  • Employee focus mentality with exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage self to goals and deadline
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly
