Loan Servicing Support Associate

Job Description

The Loan Servicing Support Associate functions as a member of the Back-Office Operations team and is responsible for helping resolve customer issues originating primarily from Inbound Correspondence.  This includes but is not limited to mis posted payments, credit bureau disputes and general servicing requests.  The associate may be required to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls to clarify and problem solve customers’ inquiries.

 

Job Responsibilities

Back-Office

  • Be able to investigate and remediate instances of Duplicate, Misapplied and Incorrect payments
  • Properly research credit bureau disputes and respond to the Credit Reporting Agencies as appropriate
  • Read and comprehend customer’s written inquiries and refer to the appropriate Line of Business for processing
  • Research credit balances to determine appropriate handling
  • Various manager assigned tasks including business audits and exception processing
  • Document retrieval and customer fulfillment
  • Ensure all correspondence items are received, tracked, sorted, and delivered to the appropriate Lines of Business within pre-defined service levels
  • Partner with Project Team for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)/ Production Verification Testing (PVT) for all system implementations/changes

Communication / Documentation

  • Properly document and update case information within the system of record
  • Provide feedback on trends that can be used to create bulletins and training modules
  • Make recommendations on policies and procedures related to current processes

Qualifications

Required Skills (minimum qualifications)

  • 1+ years of financial services experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of Marlette Funding leadership
  • Proficiency in navigating basic computer applications
  • Extremely thorough with strong attention to detail & high emphasis on quality
