Summary
The Campus Facilities Painter performs skilled painting work on interior and exterior elements of the beautiful Midwestern University campuses. This individual will report to the 2nd Shift Lead Building Technician. The hours of this position will be Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED is required. Successful completion of a recognized painter apprenticeship program or three (3) years of fulltime journey-level painter experience. One year certificate from college or technical school is desired. Familiarity with commercial framing and painting methods preferred. Expert knowledge of surface tolerance for plaster, drywall, wood, metal, plastic, for paint and special coatings. Must have a current U.S. driver’s license.
Experience working in a team and customer service oriented environment. Must be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as have the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Must have experience in coordinating projects; demonstrate ability to show flexibility; seek greater role in projects within administrative and other areas of competence; seek training on projects outside his/her range; take initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.
Computer Skills
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions. The individual is occasionally exposed to wet or humid (non-weather conditions) and will work in high, precarious places. The noise level is typically loud.
