Salary Grade: Educational Grade 03/ EG-03

Position Summary: The College and Career Advisor is responsible for working with the Manager of Academic Counseling to provide secondary schools with support to help students develop college and career goals and programs of study. The College and Career Advisor will also work with the College and Career Readiness Coordinator to utilize ICAP data as a baseline for advising students and assisting them with creating their personal career and academic plans. This position will provide support to individual students so that they can develop realistic academic and post-secondary plans. The ultimate goal for this position is that students will be better prepared for success in college, career, and life.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required
Experience:
• Two (2) years’ experience in effective K-12 classroom teaching, advising, or counseling
preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
• Current Oklahoma teaching certification in secondary education or counseling or ability to obtain alternative certification through the State Dept. of Education required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
