Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our clients team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Record and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing. Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Provide analysis and insights to support budget planning and decision-making processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Prepare and review tax returns, filings, and payments as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and financial processes. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
