The Clinical Supervisor of Outpatient Services is responsible for the overall clinical management of Intercultural Outpatient Services. This responsibility includes assisting the Medical Director in staff supervision around clinical issues, direct supervision of staff regarding clinical matters, assistance in providing in-service training, and interfacing with Community Behavioral Health (CBH), HMOs, and the county and state licensing and oversight entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides therapy to a specified caseload based on volume;
  • Supervises the administrative and clinical staff;
  • Supervises the client record-keeping process and ensures completeness of client charts;
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance for the training of every staff on the proper use of EHR software – Carelogic;
  • Conducts monthly clinical meetings in order to effectively coordinate clinic activities;
  • Coordinates with the Medical Director to develop clinical standards, methods, and procedures to monitor clinic services to ensure compliance with regulations and standards;
  • Teams with the Medical Director to evaluate clinical staff performance and evaluate administrative staff performance in order to make appropriate recommendations to the Director of Outpatient Clinics or CEO with regards to improving or rewarding performance;
  • Identifies clinic problems and recommends solutions;
  • Supervises the data collection process and liaisons with the fiscal department to ensure correct billing for services to CBH and HMOs
  • Coordinates external/internal reviews and audits in cooperation with IFSI Quality Assurance Department;
  • Attends meetings as assigned by the Director of Outpatient Clinics or CEO;
  • Oversees intake interview process and assists with the assignment of clients to therapists;
  • Reviews bio-psychosocial assessments on all new admissions;
  • Supervises the clinicians and reviews and approves treatment plans;
  • Actively participates in the peer review and case consultation process;
  • Provides clinical training as applicable;
  • Refers clients to inpatient and emergency services as required; and
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • A master's Degree in any of the following: psychology, social work, or other related fields. License in any of the following fields: psychology, social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy is strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience administering the operations of a mental health department or program.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity towards the behavioral health issues presented in communities of diverse ethnicity.
  • Experience in a multiracial and multi-ethnic environment.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
