Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsible for providing routing technical assistance with administrative tasks related to Engineering including but not limited to: Balloon drawings, reviewing and updating qualifications, and router maintenance. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, create, prepare, and finalize written technical documents, qualification sections, and reports
  • Maintain accurate work instructions and provide updates when needed for operations & production needs
  • Assist in the timely completion of engineering projects
  • Develop, write, and refine new and/or existing engineering and manufacturing procedures/methods
  • Confer with engineering manufacturing teams to determine various documentation requirements
  • Collect and organize project data, drawings, specifications, etc. as needed
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating organizational and grammatical knowledge

SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

First Piece Qualifications (FPQs)

  • Understand customer and business requirements for product qualifications
  • Follow a detailed plan and timeline to meet the project goal
  • Write, create, and assemble electronic FPQ sections, which include:
  • Balloon drawings
  • CAV (Characteristics & Accountability Verification) Forms
  • Material, process, and conformance certifications, charts, and other data
  • Manage multiple FPQ requirements with overlapping deadlines 
  • Network with other internal departments for timely completion of tasks (Quality, Purchasing, etc.) 

Manufacturing & Engineering Support

  • Understand the scope and capabilities of engineering and manufacturing operations
  • Assist engineering and manufacturing support teams
  • Collect and provide input for documentation and processes including routers, cycle times, etc.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instruction
  • Organize, clean, and maintain area tools and/or equipment in the work area
  • Performs all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practices
  • Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workers
  • Willingly performs other duties as trained and able

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess a verifiable 2- or 4-year degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, or Applications Engineering or other related fields, and/or equivalent applicable experience in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Must be able to read, interpret, and understand drawings, routers, and process specs

Must be proficient and accurate in the use of job-related company computer software programs 

Must be able to understand and fully support the company’s Mission, and Safety and Quality policies


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have the speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job

Must be able to sit/stand continuously on a daily basis 

Must be able to twist, turn, bend, and reach freely without pain or discomfort

Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform the routine operation of equipment

Physical activity: Sitting, walking, standing, typing, holding, grasping, etc. approximately 85% of the time 

Bending, reaching outwards and above shoulders, and lifting thirty pounds unassisted approximately 15% of the time


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Job activities are generally performed in a lighted, temperature-controlled, and well-ventilated factory environment.

Hourly Rate Based on Experience - starting at $18.00/hour
