Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Member of the manufacturing management team responsible for day-to-day operations of the production, planning, and material management teams to support the Industrial Gas Turbine industry

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Determine schedule for manufacturing production-

-Assign jobs to CNC and Weld work centers based on production schedule

- Create highly detailed documentation for development and manufacture of customer products

- Confer with engineering and manufacturing teams to determine documentation and order requirements

- Assist in coordinating successful completion of manufacturing projects

- Collect and organize project data, blue prints, drawings, specifications, etc

-Manage ERP System to ensure accuracy of job and order entry

SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:

Engineering Department assistance

· Understand capability of manufacturing operations

· Support manufacturing operations team

· Provide input for routers and process flow

· Develop and recommend resources and methods for material and processes

· Assist in analyzing quotations

· Project, track and evaluate project costs including time, material and processes

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly responsible for all assigned personnel’s duties, attendance, health and safety

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proficiency Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Effects Mode Analysis (FEMA) desired

· Must have excellent organizational, communication and project management skills

· Must be able to handle information in a confidential manner

· Must be able to read, write and speak in the English language and be understood

· Must be able to interact diplomatically with people - both in person and through all mediums

· Must be able to read, interpret, understand and create drawings, routers and process specs

· Must be able to manage and successfully complete multiple tasks and projects

· Must be able to work independently and make good, sound and timely decisions

· Must be proficient and accurate in the use of company computer software programs

· Must be able to understand and fully support the company Mission, Safety and Quality policies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum (4) year degree in Business Management, Operations, or Logistics or applicable manufacturing experience

· 5-7 years of applicable experience with ERP Systems/full MRP Systems (ShopTech, E2, Plex, SAP MRP Module, etc.)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

· APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) strongly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met

· Physical activity includes:

o Frequently - sitting, walking, standing, typing, assembling papers, reading, talking

o Occasionally - bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to forty pounds unassisted

· Must be able to safely operate an automobile for short and long distances

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Routinely performs office activities in a lighted and ventilated area.

· May occasionally be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust.

· Will be exposed to uncontrolled environmental conditions during driving.

· Will work in a normally acceptable office environment, with no abnormal hazards or risks.
