The OCR Analyst is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of utility OCR vendor templates and identification techniques.


  • Proactively monitors the AIDA OCR system production results to ensure that modifications are made to vendor templates in a timely fashion.
  • Creates vendor templates in development systems to accurately extract all possible data from utility bill images.
  • Determines when vendor templates are ready to be deployed to the production environment.
  • Coordinates with utility operations and support to identify and fix vendor setup errors.
  • Identifies operational standards for data collection practices.
  • Works with the utility IT programmers to create custom extraction and normalization algorithms for a vendor.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Practical experience in monitoring analytical data.
  • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on projects.
  • Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of SQL Server Databases is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience working with enterprise level document imaging systems.
