USN teaching positions provide an opportunity for talented educators to support the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a classroom setting. Teachers work with content and grade-level teams to develop and internalize rigorous, aligned curriculum, establish and maintain a joyful classroom and grade-level culture, and communicate student progress consistently with families to establish authentic partnerships between school and home. In collaboration with colleagues and school leaders, teachers use data intelligently to drive improvement efforts, implement frequent feedback in order to grow as educators, and design systems that support the needs of all learners.
United Schools Network is a network of free, open enrollment, public charter schools located in Columbus, Ohio. Our focus on academic excellence, paired with intentional student support and interventions, ensures that scholars of all levels are driven to grow and succeed. From their first steps into a USN school, students are exposed to colleges through themed homerooms and regular visits to local colleges and universities.
All USN schools are non-profit and do more than close the achievement gap for low income and high need students. They open their minds to learning - with discipline and mutual respect - and give students the life skills to gain entrance, gain success and gain a degree from the most demanding high schools and colleges. All of the schools in United Schools Network are proudly authorized by the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation. USN will have a fully grown out K-8 program on both the east and west side of Columbus by the 2022-23 school year and serve more than 1,200 students.
