Job Description

The Marlin Alliance Inc. is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer with experience leading proposal communications for DoD solicitations. This role will partner with our business development and software engineering team to craft persuasive proposal narrative, white papers and marketing materials.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance, Inc. provides transformation consulting, professional services, and technical support to government, military, healthcare, telecommunications, and utility industry clients.

  • Lead written communications content to include proposals, white papers, presentations, and marketing materials
  • Provide direction and oversight based on past performance to communicate a story in marketing and proposal materials
  • Research and collaborate with subject matter experts and business development team to identify and illustrate the appropriate approach, methodology, and solution for successful proposal execution
  • Gather required information from technical professionals and translate complex technical subject matter to a clear and concise narrative
  • Proofread and edit various documents for Program Managers and Software Engineers
  • Edit and format deliverables
  • Assist with conducting data calls

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and workload management, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills
  • Understanding of technical concepts and solutions
  • Proven ability to work with a variety of systems, sources of data, and analytic tools
  • Ability to use standard MS office software
  • Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or related software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent experience
  • Experience analyzing requirements from RFPs, RFI’s
