About the team and position

This role will sit within the Inventory Strategy team. In this position, you will work closely with the Associate Director, Inventory Strategy in structuring and executing high-priority projects related to acquiring, pricing, and merchandising our vehicles. You will conduct root cause analysis and drive analytical problem-solving, identifying and executing on opportunities across our Infrastructure Development and Operations teams.

What you’ll be doing

  • Using Your Technical Chops
      • Explore and segment data - often via SQL - to identify and explain key drivers
      • Design and build models, dashboards, and visualizations in Tableau, Excel, etc. that provide insights into operational trends and performance
  • Being a Great Stakeholder
      • Work closely with operational leaders to plan and prioritize critical projects, set KPIs, forecast impacts, and build execution plans
      • Collaborate cross-functionally to design systems & processes that capture and utilize actionable data
  • Looking Towards the Future
    • Execute operational analyses (e.g., time studies, process mapping) to identify and action on opportunities to increase process and systems efficiency
    • Perform research and interview industry experts, synthesizing best practices and learnings to inform on strategic objectives and opportunities
    • Always be proactively solving problems by thinking both big and small

What you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or similar field from an accredited undergraduate institution required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a consulting, banking, or high-growth startup environment
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL
  • The ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and business teams and communicate across them in a clear and concise manner understood by all.
  • You have the flexibility to move and shake with competing and changing priorities.
