Job Description

WellLife Network Inc. is a leading provider in behavioral health throughout NYC and LI. We are currently seeking a full time Child Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and direct care in our newly opened Article 31 Mental Health Clinic located in Coram, NY.

The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory and interpersonal skills who has experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians. Candidate will play an integral role in our newly awarded Certified Community Behavioral Health Center model which will expand the scope of available services to include ease of access and availability for person centered, trauma informed, culturally sensitive and evidenced based treatments that promote recovery.  This position offers the opportunity for career advancement in administration and leadership. The candidate will provide supervision to our NPP staff as necessary and will participate in the training of residents from SUNY Stony Brook.

QUALIFICATIONS

M.D. / D.O. Graduate of an ACGME accredited Residency training program in Child Psychiatry.     Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible and have an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York. Five (5) years of experience diagnosing and treating adults and children/adolescents is preferred. Candidate must be Buprenorphine waived or eligible for waiver within three months of hire.    

The candidate will report to the Associate Medical Director and will participate in case conferences with interdisciplinary treatment team. Knowledge of evidenced based treatment, developmental milestones and the nuance of prescribing psychiatric medications across the lifespan is expected.  Will have the opportunity to provide service utilizing telehealth. Computer proficiency utilizing an electronic health record, e-prescribe and a secure email system is required.
