Job Description

Family Ties, which provides counseling services to children, adolescents and adults, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to its most senior clinical staff member, the Clinical Director. The Administrative Assistant will coordinate meetings, schedule appointments, create reports, and act as a key point of contact between the Clinical Director and internal and external colleagues.

*Responsibilities and duties

  • Answering the main telephone line, directing calls, and relaying messages 
  • Checking the main e-mail account hourly and forwarding referrals/other time-sensitive  communications as appropriate 
  • Maintaining an office-wide calendar, notifying colleagues of potential in-office conference room/swing  space conflicts 
  • Coordinating catering needs for various meetings/conferences 
  • Tracking, ordering, and stocking office supplies, as needed 

Other administrative duties (FedEx requests, filing, etc.) as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social work
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, including professional telephone etiquette
  • Adept at and familiar with multiple software programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and EHR systems
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment
  • Strong desire to be proactive and a self-starter
