Job Description

Purpose of this Position:

The Account Manager is responsible for connecting with RSI Security clients and managing the contract through the renewal period.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience in identifying cross sell and upsell opportunities.  

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and account management, preferably in a service-oriented environment and the cybersecurity or IT industry
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and sales enablement tools, preferably with Salesforce and Outreach
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify, target, and nurture prospects through adept communication
  • Ability to have technical conversations with C-level executives
  • High degree of flexibility with the ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment
  • Thorough and detail-oriented, organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and evaluate current and new tools
  • Self-starter who can work independently with a proactive attitude

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate with staff and customers through verbal and written communications. 
  • Ability to type, hand write, use computers and answer phones daily.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities of the position:

  • Effectively manage client relationships and accounts
  • Schedule and attend sales call appointments with new prospects and existing accounts
  • Respond to RFPs and follow up with prospects
  • Build and strengthen the business relationship with current accounts and new prospects
  • Develop an account plan to sell to existing customers based on their business needs
  • Ensure customers achieve their security goals with our services and provide guidance on improving security program for the long term
  • Discern customer’s level of security needs and assess how RSI Security can meet their needs
  • Develop and execute key strategies that contribute to key metrics - retention, upsell, increased service utilization/adoption, and contractual compliance
  • Identify avenues for additional monthly and annual recurring revenue by strategically contacting key decision makers on a planned basis
  • Develop qualified client references 
  • Ensure maximum customer satisfaction and retention metrics
  • Showcase technical knowledge in regular conversations with clients
  • Act as liaison between clients and internal delivery teams
  • Ensure timely completion of client initiatives, solve technical problems, and propose new feature development
  • Regularly review internal processes, documents, tools, reports, and sales strategy
  • Facilitate meetings with clients to ensure service delivery milestones are met 
  • Ensure quality standards are being met consistently applied in the implementation of services
  • Create and maintain project plans, track customer requirements, and translate customer requests into deliverables
  • Travel may be required
