Overview

Tower Health Urgent Care is the largest provider of urgent care services in the greater Philadelphia area, with locations across Chester, Montgomery, Bucks and Berks Counties, as well as one in Delaware. Each of our Urgent Care facilities is open 365 days a year and offers patients access to advanced, comprehensive care from 9 a.m. to 9.pm. Each location also offers on-site access to lab and imaging studies.

You must be willing to float to all locations including Consohocken, Oaks, Lansdale, Plymouth Meeting, Villanova and Wynnefield if need be. This is a requirement to the position along with every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Operate radiologic equipment and CR units to produce images in order to provide information for patients diagnosis

Duties:
  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of Radiologic procedures; answering questions
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by completing required CME's
  • Positions patients for radiological procedures ordered by the Provider; adjust equipment for specified procedures; set exposure techniques for specified procedure
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing ALARA
  • Maintains production and quality of images by following established standards and procedures; documenting repeats for analysis
  • Daily documentation of patients and procedures.
  • Front desk responsibilities including registering patients, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, answering phones, pre -certifications for advanced imaging, scan all patient records, completing patient count form, completing billing records and verifying money collected with billing record and batch record, perform call backs
  • Train with Charge nurse for MA skills
  • Other jobs and duties as assigned


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Current State and Radiologic Technologist License (ARRT Registered or Registry Eligible)
  • Effective BLS card prior to hire
  • Use of Medical and Radiologic Technology, Willingness to Learn, Communication, Dependability, Ability to Work with team
  • Must be open to working at any location within the region
  • Must be open to working every other weekend
