Responsibilities
The histology technician performs a range of complex and routine histotechnology and cytotechnology procedures, evaluates efficacy of slides, troubleshoots equipment and/or testing problems, performs and reviews quality control and preventive maintenance, accurately orders pathology testing and submits samples to the pathologist for reading and review. Qualifications Education:
- 2 year/associate degree or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of associates degree.
- One year previous experience (preferred).
- ASCP certification as a Histologic Technician is preferred
