Job Description


The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Regional HR Manager.  HR Generalist under the guidance of the Regional HR manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.  Administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs.  The HR Generalist carries our responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, recruiting, associate activities and other projects as assigned.

Some travel may be required.


The  Human Resources Generalist assist in developing and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

  • Recruiting and staffing.
  • Performance management.
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting.
  • Employee orientation, development and training.
  • Policy development and documentation.
  • Employee relations.
  • Company employee communication.
  • Compensation and benefit administration.
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
  • Employee services and counseling.

  • Quality control – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Safety and security – the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Human Resources, Business or Organization Development or equivalent.

Five years of progressive experience in Human Resources position.

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.

Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.

Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations.  Multi-state knowledge a plus.

Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans.


PHR (Professional Human Resources) Certification desirable
