Responsibilities
The Respiratory Care Practitioner reviews existing clinical data and collects additional pertinent data. He or
she evaluates all data to determine the appropriateness of the prescribed respiratory care and participates in
the development and delivery of the respiratory care plan.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
*Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program approved by the CoARC (Required)
*Other Education: RPSGT (Required when working in sleep lab)
Certification and Licensure Requirements:
*AAST RPSGT LICENSE (Required for sleep or must be obtained within one year of beginning of
employment)
*CPR Certification (Required)
*NBRC RESPIRATORY THERAPIST CERT OR REG OR RPSGT OR REEGT (Required)
*PA RESPIRATORY THERAPIST LICENSE (Required)
Experience and Skills:
1-3 Years Critical care experience (Preferred)
1-3 Years Respiratory care experience (Preferred)
Required Skills: Excellent Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Computer skills
