Responsibilities The Cardiac Monitor Tech is responsible for observing, interpreting and communicating patient electrocardiographic data and performing basic physiologic parameters for all telemetry units. Responsible for documenting and reporting heart rhythms and changes. Accountable for alarm limit setting on the monitors while following policies for placing telemetry leads on patients and troubleshoot telemetry problems.
Qualifications Education: - High School Diploma/GED (required)
Certification/Licensure: - Successful completion of a basic EKG Arrhythmia Interpretation Class (required)
- Valid American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS course (required)
Experience/Skills: - At least six months experience as an EMT or Telemetry Tech preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and task effectively
- Ability to work within a team and individually
- Demonstrated ability to manage call volume, professionally
- Epic experience is (preferred)
- Previous experience in the hospital environment (preferred)
