Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Psychiatrist and other treatment team members to assist patients and families
  • Uses a variety of treatment modalities to assist patients and families in the alleviation or resolution of social, financial and emotional problems related to illness, health care, and rehabilitation.
  • Work with patients with Mental Health Diagnoses, Substance Abuse issues, and health conditions.
  • Complete assessments and schedule family/support system meetings, and make referral to appropriate levels of care.
  • Participate in daily treatment meetings and run Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work.

Certification and Licensure Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania License as an LSW or LCSW. (LCSW Preferred)

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working in a Behavioral health setting, inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the principles and practices of social work, good understanding of community health, welfare, and social agencies
  • Must adhere to National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics.
