Surgical Intensive Care Unit - 20 bed unit. Reading Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and has a rapidly expanding Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgical Programs. Experience working with a variety of different, complex patient populations including surgical trauma patients, cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, and general surgical patients.

Medical Intensive Care Unit - 21 bed unit. Come join our Silver Level Beacon Award winning 21 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit. Patients cared for in this minimal lift environment with an Intensivist Model have diseases causing acute symptoms that need special monitoring and observation. Some of the conditions treated in this unit are Cardiac, Pulmonary, GI, and Renal.

Responsibilities

The registered nurse develops, implements and evaluates the nursing plan of patient care and implements
the medical plan of care in collaboration with all disciplines.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

BSN - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (Preferred)

Certification and Licensure Requirements

PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License (Required)

Experience and Skills

0 - 6 months experience as a professional nurse
Required Skills: Excellent Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal skills
