Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science or related science (preferred)
- >1 year of experience preferred
- Certification and Licensure Requirements. ASCP certification as MLS, MT, or MLT preferred
