Phoenixville Hospital is a small community hospital located at 140 Nutt Rd, Phoenixville Pa. The Perioperative Services Department includes 7 operating rooms as well as Ambulatory Surgery Center- Limerick (located off sight),at 420 W. Linfield-Trappe Rd, Bldg B 200, LImeirk PA., as well as Endoscopy, Short Procedure, PACU, PAT and Sterile Processing. It is part of the Tower Health System which consists of 7 hospitals including Reading Hospital, Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Phoenixville Hospital, Brandywine Hospital, Jennersville Hospital, Chestnut Hill Hospital and St. Christopher’s.
Responsible for the timely and accurate Pre admission testing and Surgical case scheduling.
Responsibility also includes assuring approval process followed for special equipment needs for surgical cases.
Responsible for the timely and accurate sceheduling of pre-admission testing and surgical case appointments. Accommodates surgical cases in appropriate Surgical block allocation.
Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired during the scheduling process: personal, financial, medical, and employment.
Communicates in an acceptable, easily understood manner.
Responsible for communicating all surgical requests to PAT Charge Nurse and Clinical Coordinator, Operating Room.
Candidate will also be cross- trained to registration to cover at ASC LImerick on busy days as needed.
Completes all other duties as assigned by the Director of the Operating Room or Clinical Nurse Manager/ Coordinator.
Hours will be 8am to 4:30 pm or as needed between those hours for Scheduling at Main OR.
Registrar hours at ASC Limerick are 6:30 am until 3P.
Minimum of 2 days/ week.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Surgical Scheduling experience preferred but can train.
Experience with EPIC preferred but will train.
Registrar experience a plus.
Knowledge of basic clerical procedures required.
Strong guest relation skills.
Medical terminology required.
Familiar with medical record requirements
