The Consulting Associate, Human Capital has at least 3 years of relevant work experience in human capital or strategic communications. They are passionate about working as a part of a team to provide consulting services to Federal Government and homeland security clients. Active Secret clearance required.

This immediate opportunity includes communications and human capital disciplines such as: workforce planning, training, coaching/mentoring, performance planning, leadership development, employee development, workload analysis, skills assessment, marketing, strategic communications, and program management. The Human Capital Associate helps programs create and maintain a highly skilled workforce by providing excellent human capital support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide program management office support in the development of communications, consulting, and process improvement support on human capital projects as part of a dedicated client team
  • Support workforce outreach and engagement, training, and development activities for both strategic and operational program initiatives
  • Develop communications materials (one-pagers, slogans, podcasts, etc.) to support workforce development
  • Design and deliver orientations, briefings, and training to the workforce and senior clients
  • Support the capture and reporting of program milestones and successes
  • Join our consulting practice to support projects and company growth initiatives
  • Work side-by-side with our clients to quickly identify and solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service
  • Develop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiatives
  • Seek out leadership opportunities to develop skills in leading teams and managing initiatives
  • Contribute towards our learning culture, where people put team, client, and company interest ahead of their own, by demonstrating interest in supervising and supporting the growth of others 

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: US Citizenship only (no dual citizenship) / Active Secret Clearance required
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications and/or human capital (e.g., training, coaching, mentoring, career path planning, performance management, employee development, HR development, workforce engagement, marketing, and strategic communications)
  • Experience or strong interest in working in a Government, homeland security, and/or law enforcement environment, with skills in this area preferred
  • Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Proven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Strong interest in working in a consulting firm and learning business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special project
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in social science, human capital, or communications
  • Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, flexibility, learning-oriented, excited to engage
