The Consulting Associate, Change Management and Communications is self-starter who is interested in problem solving and organizational change, business analysis, and stakeholder communications. This person supports mission-critical projects, working closely with clients in emergency management and homeland security. They develop and execute strategies to engage a diverse group of stakeholders who all play a part in mission results.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of proven experience in consulting and/or strategic communications in a highly visible program and an aptitude for working on multiple diverse initiatives at the same time. We are looking for someone who will bring an innovative mindset, experience in consulting and stakeholder management, and a desire to provide trusted advice to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and clients’ stakeholders to advance “as-is” to “to-be” state through high-touch stakeholder management
  • Support workshop coordination and planning, communications material development, and information sharing
  • Work side-by-side with our clients to quickly identify and solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service
  • Join our consulting practice to support projects and company growth initiatives and new business
  • Contribute towards our learning culture and willingness to supervise and grow others

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant consulting, change management, and or communications experience
  • Have at least 1 year of experience leading others on workstreams, with formal supervision experience preferred
  • Experience or strong interest in working on complex projects in a Government and emergency management
  • Experience providing strategic communications, analysis, and/or organizational change management support in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment where attention to detail is critical
  • Loves to work with stakeholders and collaborate to solve problems
  • Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement (including senior-level leaders) and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Technologically savvy, especially with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools (SharePoint, Jira/Confluence, Visio preferred)
  • Proven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration skills and strong leadership potential
  • Strong interest in working in a consulting firm and learning business concepts; loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
  • Clearance: US Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, flexibility, learning-oriented, excited to engage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer-centric digital or IT transformation
  • Strong interest in emergency management and in flood risk, flood insurance, emergency management, and resilience
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and working sessions with stakeholders in a collaborative environment
