Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs general accounting functions and other administration duties in support of the Accounting Manager. Completes a broad variety of accounting duties in a fast-paced environment. Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries. Must have Accounts Payable experience and be organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must. Experience with Deltek Vision is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full cycle accounts payable, including detailed coding of invoices, , electronic approval process, and timely payment of invoices
  • Process employee expense reports
  • Process incoming checks
  • Review and post various accounting logs
  • Provide administrative support for accounting department
  • Interface extensively with administrative staff in branch offices
  • Adapts accounting and record keeping functions to current technology of computerized accounting systems
  • Serve of committees and teams as requested by management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of three years of related accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; advanced excel skills preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Reader/Acrobat required
  • Valid driver’s license required
