ABOUT THE SCHOOLS
The Bronx Excellence network of schools has been in operation since 2004 when Bronx Charter School for Excellence was established. The cornerstone school, Bronx Excellence 1, is a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School, an honor awarded by the United States Department of Education. Bronx Excellence 1 was the first charter school in Bronx County to win this distinction and only one of three New York State schools to win the National Blue Ribbon that year.
As Bronx Excellence surpasses a decade of success in Parkchester, Excellence Community Schools has also opened Bronx Excellence 2 in Morris Park, Bronx Excellence 3 & 4 in Wakefield, and Bronx Excellence 5 in Tremont. Stamford Excellence joined the Excellence family as our first affiliate school, replicating our award-winning, literacy based academic model in the state of Connecticut. As our organization grows, we welcome instructional and administrative candidates to grow with us as well.
