Located in Charleston, SC and reporting to the Manager of Accounting Operations, this position is a key player in Blackbaud’s consolidated financial close activities responsible not only to ensure control activities are being achieved, but also to recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Key participant in the Consolidated Financial Close Process across the organization, as well as develop solutions for close-related issues as they arise
Ensure the accuracy of the Corporate Financial Statements, including analytical reviews, manual and automated journal entries, account reconciliations, and footnote preparation
Assist with the interpretation, understanding, documentation and adherence to Accounting Policies and Procedures
Analyze financial information, including changes to balance sheet and income statement accounts and draft business purpose drive variance explanations
Assist in providing oversight, guidance and training on technical accounting matters to various functional groups across the Company
Work closely with FP&A, legal, sales organizations, and business partners to provide ongoing accounting support
Develop, maintain, and administer financial and operational policies to support strong internal controls
Assist in determining the impact of new accounting pronouncements on reporting requirements and business practices
Identify and implement operational process and internal control improvements that supports a culture of continuous improvement
Lead special projects as needed
Respond to internal and external audit requests
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred
2-4 years of relevant, progressive experience; public accounting experience preferred
Hands-on financial professional possessing outstanding technical and analytical skills; internal control experience essential
System experience with Workday, SAP, Hyperion, SAGE Fixed Assets and Blackline desirable
Exhibits professional presence in interactions with executive management and possesses presentation and communication skills; must be able to deal with ambiguity but relay information clearly and concisely
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, software industry experience (e.g. ASC 606) and lease accounting (e.g. ASC 842) a plus and the ability to apply relevant guidance to complex transactions
Well organized, detail-oriented team player with proven ability to multitask effectively and work independently
Able to prepare written communications that articulates messages concisely and accurately
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including the ability to critically think and present new or creative solutions

About the role:
We are seeking high-energy, sales driven professionals with a strong interest in the non-profit vertical to guide customers to Blackbaud’s proven software solutions. You will serve as key contact and liaison between Blackbaud and potential clients during the initial sales process by generating leads and closing deals over the phone and via the Internet. Ideal candidates should be results-oriented, possess outstanding customer facing skills and have a proven track record selling CRM/SaaS or Fundraising software solutions from the ground up.
What you’ll be doing:
Qualifying, pursuing and closing sales opportunities within a defined territory over the phone and via the Internet
Selling across the entire Blackbaud solution portfolio
Establishing and maintaining key account relationships

What we'll want you to have:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college is required
2-4 years of successful sales experience is required, preferably with 2+ years selling experience in an IT or software environment
Either a hunter/new logos driven mentality or an expert in cultivating existing relationships
Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Office, and other software is required
Must possess superior communication skills with the ability to make clear, compelling and value-focused sales presentations

More about what we’re looking for:
Since we are seeking Project Managers to fill openings at various levels, we are looking for 1 - 7+ years of client-facing project management experience, ideally in a professional services setting.
The duration and volume of projects with which our Project Managers work can vary depending on the solution and scope of the implementation. In some cases, we will be looking for a d emonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of clients and projects concurrently . In other cases, we may be looking for experience managing a few long-term projects.
