Grand Street Settlement was established in 1916 to help improve the living and working conditions of immigrants and residents of Lower Manhattan.
Four decades ago, Grand Street strategically expanded programs to Brooklyn in response to the community needs. Across 35+ locations, families can access a wealth of programs that provide the resources and strategies for success: high-quality early education and child care, safety net support and access to benefits, hands-on afterschool and summer learning, and a vibrant and supportive community for local seniors."
Mission:
Grand Street Settlement expands opportunities for low-income families and individuals by providing culturally relevant services that support advocacy, quality of life, self-determination, and a sense of community.
