The Giants Community Fund uses baseball and softball to promote health, education and character development among youth in underserved communities. As the official charitable arm of the San Francisco Giants, the Fund fosters strong partnerships with civic and non-profit organizations that encourage youth to be a positive force on the field, in the classroom and in their local region.
Since its founding as a 501(c)(3) public charity in 1991, the Fund has invested $35 million to positively impact the lives of over 375,000 youth and their families in areas with limited resources for sports and enrichment activities.
The Fund’s flagship program, Junior Giants, is a free, non-competitive and coed baseball and life skills program for youth ages 5-18, annually reaching over 23,000 kids throughout California, Nevada and Oregon. The Fund also is an active contributor and partner in targeted community initiatives in the areas of health, education and violence prevention.
The Fund is committed to providing all youth — regardless of where or how they live — a chance to develop into strong, compassionate individuals.
