It’s that Simple. Role Description The Operations Bookkeeper will be a critical role in helping to scale Simple Mills Accounting & Operations functions. The role will report to the Finance Manager and responsibilities will include: Responsible for tracking all inbound raw materials including pricing, order amounts, date received, etc. Responsible for tracking production of finished goods Calculate month end raw material & finished goods inventory balances as well as monthly COGS by SKU Review/approve operations invoices Manage customer invoicing Support our staff accountant with accounting tasks (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, etc.) Performs other duties as assigned Position Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of experience in accounting role Understanding of key accounting concepts (FIFO, AR, AP, accrual-based accounting, etc.); Experience with accounting for inventory is a plus Self-starter with ability to figure out tasks with minimal direction Very strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to juggle multiple mission-critical tasks on a day-to-day basis.
